International Design Award – myFriend

Title: >myFriend< helpful objects
Description: After the successful in 2002 and the internatinal Design Award <2×1> in 2006, Stiftung Simonshof Design Museum, a nonprofit foundation, invites creative designers to participate in this international design competition.
Entries should be a prototype (max. size 250mm)of a useful object that can be easily used by both children and senior citizens (criteria: usability, economy,beauty, ecology, advanced technology)

Rules: The prototypes will not be insured by the Simonshof Foundation, so we recomend that participiants insure their work for the period of transport and exhibition.

A cheque for 50 EURO must be enclosed and an envelope bearing a 5-digit number that shall also appear on the prototype. A letter placed in this envelope shall contain your contact details (name, adress, e.mail, url, …), your International Bank Account number, and a declaration that you are the author(s) of the submitted design.

By entering the competition you are giving the Promoters permission to take photographs of the object for use in exhibitions and publications without a fee being payable. Such photographs will carry the name of the designer.
Prize sum: 1500 Euro for the International Design Award 500 Euro for the Friedrich Sulzer award, design for advanced CNC technology (please send files as .dxf)
